Trimtab collects nothing. It runs entirely on your Mac, makes no network requests to us, has no accounts, and includes no analytics or telemetry.
Scanning, classification, and reclaiming all happen locally. The list of what Trimtab finds, the reclaim ledger, and your license never leave your Mac. We have no servers that receive your data because there is nothing sent.
To find reclaimable space, Trimtab reads file sizes and modification times under your home folder and standard cache locations. It never reads file contents, and it only deletes what you confirm: regenerable items permanently, everything else to the Trash.
Trimtab has no automatic crash or usage reporting. If a future version offers an opt-in problem report, it will be clearly labeled and off by default, and this page will be updated to describe exactly what it contains.
If you buy a license, payment is handled by a third-party merchant of record, who processes your payment details under their own privacy policy. Trimtab receives only a license key, not your payment information.
